Scanning uses the LiDAR sensor found on iPhone 12 Pro through 17 Pro and iPad Pro (2020 or newer). On devices without LiDAR, QuoteCast substitutes an animated template room so you can still try the full scan → review → estimate → quote flow.

Every takeoff is transparent. QuoteCast shows each intermediate number: net area, coats, waste, and coverage. You can edit the assumptions. Line items seed from the takeoff, then you can edit them freely with live subtotal, tax, and total.

Four: paint, flooring, drywall, and trim. You pick a trade when you create a project, and each has its own calculator and line items. Scan several rooms into one project and quantities aggregate automatically.

A client-facing PDF quote with your logo, contact details, and terms, plus a CSV of surfaces, openings, and line items. Both are shared as real files through the iOS share sheet, unwatermarked on either plan.

RoomPlan is accurate enough for estimating, and you always review and correct the dimensions before quoting. A built-in "verify a known length" check reports the scan variance so you can trust the numbers.

Yes. Projects, estimates, and branding sync across your own devices through your private iCloud (CloudKit): no account, no login, no server. Just sign in to the same iCloud account on each device. Prefer local-only? You can turn iCloud sync off in Settings; the change takes effect the next time you open the app.

Both plans start with a 7-day free trial. Solo gives you unlimited projects, unwatermarked quotes, custom branding, and PDF & CSV export. Pro adds pricebook presets: save your material and labor rates once and reuse them on every estimate, with CSV import and export. Both are auto-renewable monthly subscriptions, and the trial applies once per Apple Account.

Both. Units default to your region: imperial in the US, metric elsewhere. You can switch anytime. QuoteCast is fully localized in 13 languages with a selectable quoting currency.

Subscriptions are billed to your Apple Account and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Nothing about your work. No tracking, no ads, no server. Your projects and scans stay on your device and in your iCloud account. QuoteCast does send anonymous crash and usage diagnostics, hosted in the EU, and you can switch them off in Settings. See our privacy policy.
